Oh my god. Reading this book reignited my love for Anastasia – both the Broadway musical and the classic movie. Ever since this book was announced, it’s been on my most-looked-forward-to list, and I’ve been fortunate enough to get an ARC, and let me tell you: it did not disappoint.
So….a LOT of my friends have told me to read this series and give it a shot despite the first one being bad. Some of them have even suggested skipping this one, and going straight to the second but I wanted to test out the waters and see if I end up liking the author’s writing and seeing the way she handles her characters. And I sorta-but-not-really regret reading this one.
Seemed okay at first, then I saw the tiny details that just annoyed me. Really, I was expecting a lot after finishing the amazing Red Wintertrilogy by Annette Marie. The cover of Stormbreaker and the entire series look so good too.
I love the way Roshani writes. From The Star-touched Queen to Aru Shah, she’s basically got me wrapped around her finger. Anything she writes, I’ll read, and this one was no exception.
When I was told there was a new adult book with great rep, I didn’t waste any time starting it. The Kiss Quotient was a great read. I’m really surprised this is a debut novel, because it was written so well!
